Infection Control

These past few months have been challenging for everyone, and we hope that you are all safe and healthy amid the COVID-19 pandemic. We feel extremely fortunate to be able to welcome our patients back to the office. As the state of this public health emergency changes from day to day, we will remain focused on keeping our employees and our patients safe, healthy, and informed. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

Infection control and universal precautions protect patients and staff alike. Everyone benefits from rigorous infection control; you, your dentist, and the dental team. The cornerstone in a good and safe dental practice is the element of trust. You should feel free to discuss this topic with Dr. Vinh Le and Dr. Quang Le and receive a straightforward answer.

Dr. Vinh Le and Dr. Quang Le and our entire team follow procedures recommended by several federal agencies: the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). These measures include:

  • Disinfectant hand soap
  • Gloves and face masks
  • Chemical disinfection of countertops and surfaces
  • Sterilization of all equipment before every use
  • Disposable materials

We sterilize all reusable equipment, including dental hand pieces. We use an autoclave, a device that kills bacteria and viruses by steam, heat and pressure.

Here are some of the extra steps we’re taking to help keep you and our staff safe amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

  • Pre-screening: when confirming your appointment you will be asked some pre-screening questions as well as when you arrive to the office.
  • Masks: Patients will need to wear a mask when you arrive to the office. Once you are in your room and in the patient chair you can remove your mask. (If you do not have a mask, we will provide one for you)
  • Temperature Check: At the time of check-in, one of our staff members will check your temperature.
  • Waiting Room: At the time of your appointment, we ask that only the patient come in to the office unless it is a minor or someone that needs assistance.
  • Air-Purifiers: We have placed various air-purifiers throughout the office to help minimize airborne pollutants.

In order to minimize the spread of any virus, in addition to our traditional universal infection control protocol, we are now disinfecting our reception area and all door handles every 2 hours. As well as ensuring our staff are washing and sanitizing their hands throughout the day.

If you have any questions about our infection control protocol please feel free to contact our office (951)303-6681 or to schedule your appointment online click here

We look forward to seeing you soon!
